The Wine Lovers Collection

A bottle of wine has inspired many sculptures in my mind over the years. Now, I'm returning to this shape, but this time through painting. The shape of the bottle conjures up the world that we try to enter. We retreat inside this world, losing all the worries of the day. As with my sculptures, it is not just about the bottle, but also the friends that you enjoy it with. Wine Lovers #1 shows how lovers bend and reshape themselves to fit each other. It's about the contortions that you gladly undertake, just to look deeply into your lover's eyes. Perhaps, when you enjoy your next glass of wine, Wine Lovers #1 will make finding that "other" world a little easier.
